This family portrait was photographed by Duane Michals and titled "The Bus Stop" for the story without words told by the eight photos he selected from the many he took in front of a white New York building. As the Sacker family enters in chronological order and waits for the arrival of a bus, they appear as total strangers to each other with no communication among them.
