The book is shaped like the facade of the St. Marylebone Parish Church in London where Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning secretly wed on September 12, 1846. The translucent wrapper is printed with the same church facade and steeple. The pages of the book are shaped like wedding rings, eight for the bride and eight for the groom, and are printed in goldwith information from the marriage record and excerpts of poetry. As the ring/pages are opened, the reader approaches the alter just as the bride and groom did.
