Scope and Contents The box was made by Timothy Ely. The letter deals with Felix Klee's declaration of Love for Karla Grosch, three years his senior in age, Internet: Karla Grosch (1904-1933) came to the Bauhaus in Dessau in the summer semester of 1928 to work as the head of the female physical education course. Apart from Gunta Stölzl, the master of the Bauhaus weavery, Grosch was the only female teacher at the Bauhaus in Dessau. She was born in Weimar in 1904 and graduated as a dancer from the famous Gret Palucca in Dresden. At the Bauhaus, Grosch took also part in various stage performances, as for example in Oskar Schlemmer's "Glass dance" and "Metal dance", which premiered in the context of a guest performance at the Volksbühne in Berlin in 1929. Grosch stayed at the Bauhaus until 1932. She was closely linked to the family of Paul Klee and lived in a room of Klee's master's house from 1928 until 1930. Scope and Contents This unique book was shown at an exhibition at Galerie 13 in Hannover, Germany from January 19 - February 24, 1996. Indeed, a catalogue reproducing the works in this book is included in a folder within the book; a brochure announcing the exhibition is also included. The book is divided into five parts, three in the first part and two in the second part of the dos-a-dos design. The first part includes Andryczuk's "Cosmographic Poetry and Art." This consists of 18 pages of rubberstamped images like an accordion and a stylized sun figure with a single letter in colored ink alongside the image. In addition, there are four pages of rubberstamped bees and drawn ink and gold figures and letters on commercially printed material.The second section entitled, "Letters for myself" consists of 18 pages of airmail envelopes collaged onto a white page which has been rubberstamped, "KOPIA" at the top and 030495 at the bottom. It houses 10 folders holding large, handmade postcards usually from thick cardboard or fragments of hard cover bookbindings. The hard cover book documents the project, annotates the postcards, and depicts photocopied colored reproductions of one side of all the postcards.
