Scope and Contents
The Nora Lee Ingle papers date from 1975 to 2002 and measure 7.5 linear inches. The collection consists of books and newsletters she wrote. Ingle’s books are Depression Pie (1975), an autobiographical piece that reflects on her childhood during the Great Depression; KNIA Something Special Cookbook with Soul Food (1986); and Nostalgia: What Did You Say? Maxims, WWII Memories, Post War Living, Recipes (1987). The bulk of the collection consists of Ingle’s monthly newsletter “Letters from Aunt Clara” (1984-2002), a mix of anecdotes, poetry, news items, and recipes. Some personal correspondence is also included.
