Along the west end of Christopher St. was the Westside Highway. It was above ground and you had to cross under it to get to the Hudson River. Under the highway there were dozens of parked trucks. These were known imaginatively as "the trucks;" gay men went there and also to this enclosed pier for quicker, easier sex. Don't ignore the friendly, spray painted warning signs.
