Scope and Contents
CSS (Compagnie Sucriere Senegalaise) irrigation canal, 17 km. The canal extends from Richard Toll to Lac de Ger. It was built when salt water intrusion up the Senegal River during the dry season threatened to ruin the sugar cane fields in RT.
