Journal of Evidence Weekly, Vol. 138 / Wilner, Martin., 2008
This letterpress edition of Journal of Evidence Weekly Volume 138 was published on the occasion of Martin Wilner's exhibition, "More Drawings about History and Evidence," at the Pierogi Gallery in Brooklyn, New York from January 4 through February 4, 2008. The Sackner Archive lent three of their original Wilner drawings to the exhibition. The Archive also holds a unique book of subway drawings with a different cast of characters seated on the train, Journal of Evidence Weekly Volume 122. The books are visual chronicles of Wilner's trips from his house to his office (he is a practicing phychiatrist) on the New York subway. He draws portraits of his fellow passengers adn records their conversations in cartoon bubbles as he evesdrops on them. Running across the top of the drawings and meandering through someof the drawings are the names of the subway stops where the action took place. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
