Complete Stampworks / Corbett, Michael Bruce ; Sackner MA ; Held Jjr ; Johnson R., 1996
Held provides a biography of Corbett that deals with his transition from a classically trained studio artist to a network artist making original rubberstamps. He notes that his rubber stamps reflect an intimate knowledge of Dada, Surrealism, Futurism, Constructivism, New Realusm, Gutai, and Fluxus. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
Cozette de Charmoy with Concrete Poetic Landscape Rubberstamp Print, 1995
The catalogue has several introductory essays including one contributed by Marvin Sackner. Other sections include a) Books, b) Unique Manuscripts & Books, and c) Drawings, Prints, Posters & Miscellaneous. Fifty catalogues had an accompanying print. The print is a red and blue colored concrete poetic landscape image formed by rubberstamping words in French and English. The unbound pages provide translations for the critical essays written in French. The print is stored separately in a de Charmoy box. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
Stamps and Other Residues 1970-1979 / Kocman, J.H. ; Sackner RK ; Sackner MA ; Friedman K ; Gaglione B ; Ben., 1995
In the introduction, Gaglione mentions that Ben was the first to introduce rubberstampings into modern art in the late 50's and early 60's but that Kocman should be considered the "neo-father" of contemporary stamp art as demonstrated by his 1972 book "Stamp Activity." With this publication (30 copies), the concept of international stamp art was officially born into the eternal network. The rubberstamp collaged onto the cover carries the word, "touch." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
