Porter, G. Scott
Biography
G. Scott Porter was born in Alta, Iowa in 1903. He attended Iowa State Teachers College and Princeton Theologiocal Seminary. He was an ordained Presbyterian minister. He served as pastor for the Presbyterian church in Sioux City in the early nineteen-forties. He was in Alaska for about eighteen months in the ealry war years with the civilian crews working onthe Alcan Highway. Subsequently, he became a Red Cross chaplian and served in the Panama Canal Zone.
