The clear acetate prints depict stylized overlay versions of the letter 'H' and are reminiscent of the letter pictures made by bp Nichol. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
NRG: Selected Pages / curry, jw., 1989
The images on the pages is a study in orthographic mutation. In a letter to the Sackners, curry indicates that the book is in fine shape except for "a coupla small cannabis resin stains on 2 pp (where yr thumb would go)... -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
Numerator/Denominator / curry, jw., 1987
This book done as a palimpset on variations of the letters "I" & "H" was probably influenced by bp Nichol's experimental letter pictures. A written note on the cover to curry himself from his pseudonym, Mrs. Amuseus, states "nice effect, John, but you've failed to take into account the inadequacies of your materials. Conceptually strong but physically lacking." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

On the Right Track / curry, jw ; Smith, Gerry ; Bradley, Daniel f. ; Lovranski, Dan ; Beland, Richard ; Ball N., 1992
This scrapbook documents an attempt to hitch a freight train from Toronto to Vancouver in order to relive an adventure of 1976-8. The text which was printed entirely with rubberstamping is a tour de force in this media. A series of debacles led the adventurers to a neighborhood just outside Toronto rather than their goal. The collaged elements of the book are photocopied colored handwritten notes and color photographs of the journey. An appendix is provided as a guide to others for such trips. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

"After reading the first sentance, she smiled & said such an essay could never be written by a professional art critic or historian - they would never begin an essay with a statement of purpose (like a scientist) but would lay on some bullshit for a few pages before reaching a point." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
