Each print also contains a large, fragmented capital letter printed in red. A small print with the word "Noise" is collaged onto the cover of the portfolio. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
Noise 4 / Maret, Russell., 1996
The text begins with the single word 'silence' printed in blind letterpress intaglio. As the pages unfold, black, beige and gray colors are used for printing the words. The text deals with words associated with noise, e.g., deafening, cacophony, resonates, etc. Further, the density of the words printed on the page increases as does the printing of words on top of other words. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
